Our office is up on the 13th floor of Prestige Meridian I, right on M.G. Road. It is a tall building, so we get a pretty good view of the traffic crawling along down below. Being in such a central spot means there is always something happening outside. Inside, it is a bit different. We deal with aromas, so the air in the office usually carries a hint of something sweet or spicy. We have a small lab area where we do our testing and a row of desks for the paperwork side of things. The elevators can be a bit slow during the lunch hour when everyone in the building is heading out, so we usually just stay in and have our food together. We have these glass cabinets filled with small sample vials that we have collected over time. It is a lot of meticulous work, checking the batches and making sure the scents are just right. We are not a massive team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phones to helping with the inventory. The carpet is a bit worn in the high-traffic areas, and we have got plants on the windowsills that we try to remember to water. It is a professional enough space, but it feels more like a workshop once you get past the lobby. We just keep our heads down and work through the list of tasks each day.
