Vensons Coffee Company

We’ve been set up on K.R. Road for quite some time. It’s a busy street, and we fit right in with the other shops around here. We handle coffee, mostly roasting and selling it to the people who walk by or live in the neighborhood. The shop isn't very large. We have the roaster in the back and a small counter up front. Most mornings, you can smell the coffee from a block away. It draws people in. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how the beans should look when they’re done. We use simple bags and hand-write some of the labels when we have to. It’s not very high-tech. Sometimes we have a backlog of orders and things get a bit chaotic, but we manage. The floor is usually covered in a bit of chaff from the roasting process, no matter how much we sweep. Customers come in for their usual and we talk about the news or the weather. It’s a friendly enough place. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth seems to work okay for us. We just keep our heads down and make sure the coffee is roasted right. That’s enough to keep us busy every day. The clock on the wall is five minutes fast, but we never bother to fix it. It helps us get things done and stay on track with our work.
