Velu Stores

We have been at the Shamsuddin Building on Tankshala Road for a good while now. It is right near Magadi Road. Most people around here know the spot. We mostly handle daily items people need for their homes. It is a busy area with lots of traffic passing by the 23/24 shop fronts every day. We open up early and stay till late evening usually. The shelves are packed with all kinds of stuff. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped in here when more than three people walk in at once. My uncle started this place years ago and now we just keep it going as a family. There is nothing fancy about the walls or the sign outside. It is just Velu Stores. We know the neighbors by their first names and they know us too. If you are coming from Magadi Road, look for the big building and we are right there. We do not really have a big staff, just a couple of us working the counter every day. We try to keep things stocked up so people do not have to go far for their groceries or small household bits. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and the boxes sit in the corner for a bit before we can unpack them. That is just how it is here. It gets dusty because of the road work outside, but we sweep it out every morning. People come in, get what they need, and head out.
