We are set up at 44/2A, Bellary Road, right near the NH 7 in Hebbal. Being near the highway makes it easier for trucks to get in and out, which is good because we move a lot of leather. Vasants Leather Fashion Pvt. Ltd. is what we call ourselves, but it’s really just a busy workshop and office. The traffic outside can be a nightmare, but once you’re inside, it’s all about the work. We’ve got rows of materials and people busy at their stations. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of cutting or machines in the background. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just focus on the leather. We’ve been here long enough that the local tea sellers know exactly how we like our drinks. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the hides and making sure the stitching is right. It’s dusty and sometimes it gets hot, but we like what we do. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe ourselves. We’re just a local company making leather goods for people who need them. We have a small crew, and we’ve all been working together for years. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of environment where we just get on with the job. If the rain is heavy, we sometimes have to stop and move things away from the door, but we manage.
