Max Accessories

You can find Max Accessories over on Avenue Road, specifically at 111/13. Anyone who has been to Avenue Road knows it is a maze of people and carts. Our shop is quite small, but we pack it full of every mobile accessory we can find. We have phone cases hanging from the walls and bins full of chargers and cables on the floor. It gets very crowded in here, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. We spend a lot of time helping people find the right plug for a phone they bought five years ago. It’s a lot of repetitive work, opening boxes and testing batteries to make sure they actually charge. The light in the shop isn't great, but we make do. We don't have a website or any of that, just the physical shop where people can come and look at things. Sometimes we have to deal with people haggling over a few rupees, which is just part of the experience on this street. By the time we close the shutters at night, our legs are usually tired from standing all day. It’s a simple business selling small things that people need. We don't have a big corporate plan; we just try to sell enough today to be able to open up again tomorrow morning. It’s a long day, every day, but we keep the doors open for anyone passing by.
