Uttam Agency

We have our office at No. 1/3 on Lalbagh Fort Road. It is an old part of the city, and we have been in this building for quite a long time. The space is a bit cramped and the walls are a little faded, but it works for us. We spend most of our time acting as an agency, which means a lot of phone calls and sorting through papers. The road outside is always busy, especially being so close to the fort and the park. We have a small group of people working here, and most of us have been together for years. We don't have a big corporate sign out front. Most of our clients know us through word of mouth or have been coming here for a generation. It is not the most exciting work, but it is steady and keeps us involved in the local trade. Sometimes the noise from the traffic is a bit much, but we like being in the center of things. We keep our tea kettle going and our ledgers updated. There are no fancy mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do the paperwork, and head home. You see the same delivery guys and street vendors every day, which makes it feel like a real community. We just keep our heads down and try to do a decent job every day.
