You can find our shop at number 3 on the Mysore Road side of Kengeri. It’s a busy stretch of road with all the buses and cars heading out of the city. We’ve been here as a family business for a long time. C Anjaneyalu started it, and now the sons are running the show. The building is older, but it holds everything we need. We don't have a modern showroom or anything. It's more of a traditional setup where the stock is piled high and the books are kept by hand mostly. We deal with local customers and some who travel from further down the highway. It’s a bit noisy because of the traffic, but we’re used to it. The floor is concrete and we have a small desk where we handle the cash and the bills. We don't like doing things in a complicated way. If someone needs something, we find it in the back and get it for them. It’s practical work. Most of our regulars have been coming to us for decades. We know their names and what they usually need. It feels like a community here, even with the big road right outside. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our life.
