About Nallapeta Ashwathaiah & Brothers – Agriculture & Farming in Bengaluru
Our place is at 108 in the Yeshwantpur Kalas area. It is an old family name, Nallapeta Ashwathaiah & Brothers. There are a few of us here. The building has been through a lot of seasons. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it. We are too busy with the day-to-day stuff. In Yeshwantpur, everything moves fast. There are markets and people everywhere. Our shop has a lot of history in the wooden shelves and the old heavy doors. We have a rhythm to how we work. My brothers and I don't always agree on everything, but we get the job done. We keep things simple. No computers for everything, still using the old ways when we can. It feels more real that way. Customers come in and they often know our father or our grandfather. We sit on the old benches and talk. It is not a modern setup by any means. There is a lot of dust from the road and the nearby market. We sweep it out every morning, but it always comes back by noon. It is just a part of being in this location. We don't promise anything more than what we are, which is just a long-standing family business at 108. There is a certain pride in that, I suppose. We will probably be here for a long time more, just doing what we have always done. The market around us changes, but we stay the same.
