United Glass & Plywoods

We are located at No 3 on C M H Road, right in the Lakshmipuram area of Ulsoor. United Glass & Plywoods has been here for a good number of years. It’s a busy street, and we are right in the thick of it. We deal with glass and plywood every day, which are two very different things to handle. One is heavy and rough, the other is fragile and sharp. You have to be careful in our shop. It’s not a very big space, so we have to stack everything quite tightly. If you walk in, you’ll see sheets of ply leaning on one side and glass panes on the other. It smells like wood dust and window cleaner most of the time. We don't have a bunch of staff in suits. Usually, it’s just a couple of us helping out whoever comes in. We get a lot of carpenters and small contractors who need materials for their jobs. We also get regular neighbors who just need a single piece of glass replaced. We treat everyone the same. There’s no corporate ladder here, just us trying to keep the inventory organized. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when a delivery arrives and we have to block the sidewalk for a minute. We try to be quick about it. It’s just a neighborhood shop doing its thing. We don't have a fancy website or a big board, just our name on the door and materials inside.
