Mataji Glass & Plywood

Our shop is on Devasandra Main Road, not too far from the Venugopal Swamy Temple in KR Puram. It’s a lively area, especially when there’s a festival at the temple. We handle glass and plywood mostly. You’ll see the stacks of boards and the glass sheets leaning against the walls when you walk in. It’s a bit cramped sometimes because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. People from all over Krishnaraj Puram come in looking for stuff for their new cupboards or window repairs. We do a lot of cutting to size right here. You can hear the sound of the glass cutter or the saw going throughout the day. The smell of fresh wood is always around. We aren't a big corporate chain. It’s just us running the place, dealing with customers one by one. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big truck arrives to unload more plywood and we have to move everything around to make space. Devasandra Main Road is always moving, lots of bikes and autos. We’ve been here long enough that most of the local carpenters know us by name. We don’t have a fancy website or anything. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and start helping whoever walks through the door. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day long. Sometimes the dust is a lot, but that's just part of the plywood business.
