Platinum Aluminium & Glasses

You can find us at No-502 in Drls Plaza on Tumkur Road, Dasarahalli. It’s a bit of a climb or a wait for the lift depending on the day. Being in a plaza means it's a bit more closed in than a street shop. We have to be really careful moving the glass sheets through the hallways and into the unit. One wrong move and everything is ruined. The space is mostly filled with glass leaning against the walls and aluminium tracks on the floor. It’s a bit cramped, honestly. We try to keep it organized but there’s always something in the way. Tumkur Road is always humming with the sound of trucks and the metro nearby. We spend our time cutting, fitting, and cleaning smudges off the glass. It’s frustrating when you find a scratch right at the end. The workspace is simple, just a couple of long tables and some hand tools. We don't really have a view, just the walls of the plaza and the other units. Sometimes we go downstairs for a quick coffee when things are slow. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s steady. We don't put on any airs; it's just a place where we work with our hands. When we finish, we have to make sure everything is braced so nothing falls over during the night. The locks on the door are a bit tricky, but we have a way of getting them to catch.
