Unique Engineer

Unique Engineer is located over at 41619 Ramachandrapuram Kalakilla. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but we’ve been in this spot for a good bit of time. The area around Kalakilla has changed quite a bit over the years, though our workshop stays mostly the same. Every morning at eight, we roll up the heavy metal door. Inside, it smells like oil and cut metal, which is what you’d expect from an engineering place. We deal with all sorts of small parts and repairs that come through the door. Some days are slow and we just clean the lathes, while other days everyone is rushing around trying to meet a deadline. There is no big front office or a receptionist here. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see one of us leaning over a bench or checking a drawing. We use a lot of old-fashioned tools along with some newer ones, depending on what the job needs. Ramachandrapuram is a noisy place, and we add our bit to that noise with the grinding and welding. Lunch is usually eaten together in the back where it’s a little quieter. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and focus on the metal in front of us. Most of the guys here have been doing this since they were young, so we’ve seen almost everything.
