If you head down to the Attibele Industrial Area, you will find us at 16-1. Union Engineering (P) Ltd. has been operating out of this spot for some time now. Being in an industrial area like Attibele means there are always trucks moving around and the sound of machinery in the distance. Our space is pretty functional. It’s not meant to look pretty, just to be a place where we can work. The gate is usually open by eight in the morning. We have a small area for parking, though it gets tight if we have visitors. The air out here feels a bit different than the city center, more open but also dustier because of all the movement. Inside, we have the usual setup of tables and chairs. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at files. The lunch hour is usually quiet, with most people sitting together and sharing food they brought from home. We don't have a canteen, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait for the generator to kick in. It’s a steady kind of life here at 16-1. We know the other folks in the neighboring units, and we all just try to get through our tasks. It is a practical environment for a company like ours. We don't make a fuss, we just keep the machines and the paperwork moving as we are supposed to.
