We are based out of the building at 64 Main Road in the Whitefield area. It’s a busy part of the city with a lot of movement and development happening all around us. Here, the focus is mostly on research and looking into different products for the market. There are a lot of labs and desks inside where people work. It’s not the kind of place with a lot of decoration or art; it’s mostly functional and practical. People are usually walking around with notebooks or looking at screens for most of the day. We spend a lot of time testing things and writing down exactly what happens in each trial. The Main Road can get very loud with all the cars and buses going by, but inside the building, it stays relatively quiet so we can think. We have a small area where we take our lunch breaks, usually just chatting about mundane stuff like the weather or traffic. The building itself is older than some of the newer tech parks nearby, and we’ve had to fix the plumbing a couple of times last year. It’s a steady environment where everyone knows what they’re supposed to be doing. We don’t really do sales here, it’s all just technical work and looking at data. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks. It’s just our daily routine of investigating things and trying to understand how they work in the real world.
