Agricultural And Processed Food Products Export Development Authority

We are located on the first floor of Beeja Bhavan on Ballary Road, right in the Hebbal area. It’s a government building, so it has that specific feel to it—long corridors, heavy doors, and a lot of desks pushed together. Working for the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority sounds very official, and I guess it is, but inside it’s just a bunch of us trying to manage a lot of paperwork. There are stacks of files on almost every surface, and we spend a good chunk of our day answering phones and explaining export rules to people who are just starting out. The view from our windows is mostly the heavy traffic on the flyover, which is a good reminder of how busy this city is. We have an old water cooler that makes a loud glugging sound, and the fans on the ceiling hum constantly. It’s not a high-tech office with fancy gadgets; it’s a place where we do a lot of reading and checking of documents. Sometimes the printers jam when we have a lot of permits to get through, and we all have to take turns trying to fix them. We aren’t here to be a big corporate entity. We are just a group of people helping the local trade move forward by making sure the regulations are followed. It’s a lot of steady, quiet work that happens behind the scenes every day.
