Udayabhanu Kala Sanga

Udayabhanu Kala Sanga is located in the Kempe Gowda Nagar area of Bangalore. We are specifically in the Ramakrishna Ashram Layout, which is a part of Gavipuram Extension. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the Gavipura Choultry Block. This part of Bangalore still has some of that old-world charm that the newer areas lack. There are big trees around and the pace feels a little slower here. Our building isn't very new, but it has a lot of history to it. You can see it in the way the tiles are worn down in some places. We use the space for various activities, and it’s usually buzzing with people in the evenings. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stands, but most locals know the way. The Choultry across the road often has functions, so we hear music or announcements from time to time. Inside our place, things are a bit cluttered with equipment and chairs. We don't really have a reception desk or a formal waiting area. People just come in and find a spot to sit. It’s a very informal environment. We are more interested in what we do than how the place looks. It is just a local spot for the community to gather. Sometimes we have tea together after we finish up for the day. It’s that kind of place.
