About Kahawa Gallery Studio – Art & Craft in Bengaluru
Down here in Vasanth Nagar 19/5/6, things stay pretty quiet most mornings. We run Kahawa Gallery Studio, and it’s basically just a workspace where we keep our stuff. It isn’t always organized. There are usually brushes or cups lying around on the tables. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit when the weather is bad. We aren't trying to be some big corporate gallery. It’s more of a place where we just work and maybe have people drop by to see what we've been doing lately. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. Most of the time, it's just us drinking tea and trying to get through the day's tasks. The street outside is okay, not too much noise compared to the main roads. People find us if they're looking for the specific number 19/5/6. It's a bit hidden if you don't know the area. We have a few chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they work. Life here is slow. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us doing the daily grind. Sometimes the internet goes out and we just sit there talking. It's a simple setup. We’ve been at this spot for some time now and it feels like home, even with the messy corners and the piles of paper. We just like making things and having a dedicated space for it.
