Tulsi Store

You can find Tulsi Store at No. 254 on Mg Road. We are right near Priya Restaurant, which is a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. We sell a bit of everything that people might need for their homes. From soap and shampoo to bags of rice and flour. It's a typical small shop where things are stacked up to the ceiling. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer is looking for, but we usually have it somewhere. Mg Road is a busy place so there is always noise from the buses and rickshaws outside. We get a lot of regulars who stop in after they finish eating at the restaurant next door. It’s just me and a couple of helpers running the place. We don't have a computer system, we just write everything down in a notebook. The shop has been here for a long time now. The wooden shelves are a bit old and the floor is worn down from people walking in and out all day. We keep a bucket of water near the door to keep the dust down. It's a simple way to make a living. We know most of our customers by name and we know what they usually buy. If someone is short a few rupees, we just catch them next time. That’s how things work at Tulsi Store. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful for the neighborhood.
