Balan Natural Food Pvt. Ltd. is located out in Singapura Village. It’s part of the Yelahanka Hobli area, near the Vidyaranyapura post office. It is a bit of a long drive from the main city center, which is actually quite nice because it is much quieter out here. We have two plots, S. No. 81 and 82, where we handle all our work. We focus on making natural food items. This usually means we don't use a lot of the heavy chemicals or additives you might find in other places. It’s more manual work than some people expect when they hear the word factory. We have workers from the nearby villages who come in every morning on their cycles or by foot. They are good, hardworking people who know how to handle the raw materials without wasting anything. The building is very practical and a bit plain. We don't have a fancy lobby or any decorations on the walls. Most of our space is taken up by the processing equipment and the big storage bags. Sometimes the power goes out for a few hours, which is pretty common in this part of the state, so we have to manage with the old generator. It can be a bit of a headache with the noise and the fumes, but we make it work. We started out small and we’ve stayed that way for a long time. We prefer it because we can see everything that is happening and make sure the bags are filled.
