Titan

I am Srinivasa Reddy and I run this place called Titan along with my family. My father, Chinna Narsi Reddy, was the one who really got things moving here in Takellapadu originally. We are located in the Phirangipuram Mandal of the Guntur district. If you’re looking for us, we’re right in the middle of the village. Andhra Pradesh gets very hot in the summer months, so we usually have the fans going from early morning until late at night. This place isn't like one of those big mall stores you see in the city. It’s a local spot where people from the surrounding farms come when they need something fixed or bought. We know the post office nearby and the school teachers very well. Life in Guntur is mostly about the seasons and the crops, and our business follows that same rhythm. Sometimes the shop is quiet and I just sit on the bench outside and watch the tractors pass by on the road. Other times it gets so busy we can barely keep up with all the people coming in. We don’t use any complicated computers for everything here. Much of it is kept in books and we remember our regular customers by their faces and their families. It’s a family thing, really. We live here and we work here together. People trust us because they knew my father and they know where our house is. It’s simple and it works for us. We don't need big signs or lights.
