Being down at 337, Signal Hill Avenue in Darukhana is always an adventure because of the trucks. Tirupati Carriers is right across from the Anand Vihar Hotel, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us through all the dust and the heavy vehicles. This part of Reay-Road is always moving. We deal with drivers, manifests, and logistics all day long. It’s a gritty job and your hands are almost never clean. There is always a truck that needs a repair or a load that is running late because of a breakdown somewhere on the highway. We don't have a polished office with glass walls. Our walls are covered with maps and old calendars. We spend a lot of time shouting over the sound of engines and horns outside. It’s a tough business, but we have been doing it for a long time and we know the routes pretty well. The guys in the yard are hard workers who don't complain much about the heat or the rain. We just make sure things get loaded and moved to where they need to go. Sometimes we sit outside near the gate when things quiet down for a minute, but those moments don't last long. It’s just how life is when you’re running a transport business in a place as busy as Darukhana. We just keep the wheels turning as much as we can.
