The Lassi Park

You can find us over in Frazer Town, specifically around Erana Palya on Srigandaka 48. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot but people seem to find us anyway. Making lassi is what we do all day long. We started out with just a couple of blenders and a big fridge, and not much has changed since then. We keep things straightforward. The yogurt comes in fresh, we mix it up with whatever people ask for, and that’s about it. In the summer, this place is a madhouse. Everyone wants something cold and they want it right now. We try to keep up, but sometimes the line goes out the door and onto the street. The floor gets a bit sticky by evening, no matter how much we mop it. It’s just the nature of the business when you’re dealing with sugar and milk. Frazer Town has a lot of energy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out looking for a snack. We see a lot of students and families coming by after dinner. My brother handles the billing while I stay in the back making sure the supplies are okay. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s a small space, mostly just enough to stand and drink your glass before moving on. We like being part of the neighborhood noise and the daily rush of the city.
