We are based over in Rabindranath Tagore Nagar, which most people just call RT Nagar. Our office is a small space where we keep all the travel books and schedules. It’s not one of those big glassy agencies you see in the mall, it’s more of a local spot where you can just sit down and talk. We have a lot of maps pinned to the walls and piles of brochures on the side table. The chairs are comfortable enough but they’ve been around for a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking routes on the computer. RT Nagar is a lively place to be and we like the energy of the streets around here. Usually, someone is coming in to ask about a bus or a train and we just look it up for them. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, we don’t wear uniforms or anything like that. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three people are asking questions at once, but we figure it out eventually. We’ve been doing this for years and we know the area pretty well. It’s just a straightforward operation where we help people figure out where they need to go. There’s nothing too fancy about it, just a desk, a phone, and some people who know about travel. We’re usually here from morning until late evening most days.
