Taj Tea House

We've been here on 5th Main in Byraveshwara Nagar for quite some time now. Taj Tea House is just a small spot, really. We open up pretty early when the street is still quiet and start boiling the water. There isn't much to it, just a lot of tea leaves and milk. People from around Frazer Town stop by on their way to work or when they just need a break. We have some old benches that have seen better days, but they do the job for now. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded around the counter, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home from the city. The stove stays on most of the day. We don't have a big fancy menu or anything like that. Just the usual tea and maybe some biscuits if we haven't run out. It’s noisy out there on the road, but inside it’s just the sound of the kettle. We know most of the faces that come through the door by now. If you're walking past 62, you'll probably smell the ginger or the cardamom before you even see the sign. It’s a simple life running a tea shop. We wash the glasses, sweep the floor, and keep the milk fresh. Nothing more to it than that. It’s just what we do every day. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the front, but we put a bucket there and carry on. We're just a local place for a quick cup.
