Sweta Engineering Works

We’ve been here at 6 Magadi Main Road for quite a while now. Most days it’s just the sound of machines running and a bit of grease on the floor. Sweta Engineering Works isn't a fancy place with a big lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working on whatever comes through the door. People stop by when they need parts fixed or something made from metal. The shop gets a bit noisy during the afternoon heat, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a five-minute break, then it’s back to the lathe or the welding torch. Magadi Main Road is always busy with traffic, so there’s a lot of dust and noise outside our shutters. We don’t spend much time on the computer or writing fancy emails. Most of our day is spent handling tools and making sure the measurements are right on the pieces we’re cutting. It’s a small team here. We know the neighbors and they know us. If you walk past number 6, you’ll probably see someone moving heavy stuff around or hear a grinder sparking. There isn’t much to tell beyond the work itself. We open up early and stay until the jobs are mostly finished for the day. It’s just honest metal work in a regular shop that’s seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the machines oiled and do what needs doing.
