Sweetha Engineering Works

Our workshop is at No. 6 on the 14th Cross in Cholurpalya. It is a typical small engineering shop with a lot of heavy metal and greasy machines around. We do all sorts of repair work and fabrication. If something is broken and made of iron or steel, we usually try our hand at fixing it. The floor is made of concrete and it has plenty of stains from oil and coolants. We have been at this location for a good bit of time and people in the neighborhood know us by now. It gets quite loud when the grinders are running or when we are hammering something into shape. We don't wear suits or sit at desks much. Most of our time is spent standing over a lathe or a welding set. It is hard work and your clothes get dirty pretty fast. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you want something done, you just walk into the shop and talk to whoever isn't busy with a machine. We take on small jobs for individuals and sometimes bigger ones for other local shops. It is a straightforward way to earn a living. The 14th Cross is a narrow street so parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes but we manage to get the trucks in and out. It is dusty and noisy but it is what we know how to do after all these years.
