Surya Art Glass

If you find yourself in Peenya, you know how hectic the 4th Block can get. We are located at 161/2 in the Kempanna Building on the 12th Cross. Surya Art Glass is basically a workshop where the sound of glass cutting is the main thing you hear. It is a bit of a dusty environment because of the grinding and polishing we do. We have sheets of glass leaning against the walls in different sizes and thicknesses. Some are clear and some have patterns. We spend a lot of time measuring and hoping we do not drop anything fragile. The building itself is older and has that industrial feel you expect in this part of town. Our staff usually wears thick gloves because glass is not very forgiving if you get careless. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea breaks which are the highlight of the afternoon. The traffic outside on the 12th Cross is usually backed up with lorries but inside we just focus on the glass. It is a straightforward business without any fancy frills. We have a few worktables that have seen better days but they are sturdy enough for the heavy loads. People come to us when they need something specific for a window or a frame. We just do the work and close up shop when the sun goes down. It is honest labor in a busy corner of the city.
