Sun Engineers

If you head over to Rakhial and look for Keshav Industrial Estate, you'll find us at number 27. We are quite close to the Nagarwel Hanuman temple, so the area gets pretty crowded on certain days. It’s a real industrial vibe here, not much green but lots of iron and grease. Sun Engineers has been operating out of this spot for years. The shop floor is where most of our time goes. We deal with engineering parts and repairs, so there is always a bit of oil on the floor and the sound of machines running. It can get quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months in Gujarat, but we have a few fans that keep the air moving. Most of us have been working together for a long time. We don't really bother with big speeches or polished presentations. People just bring us their problems, and we see if we can fix them or make the parts they need. The neighborhood is full of other small workshops, so there is always a lot of clanking and shouting going on outside. We usually start early in the morning before the traffic near the temple gets too bad. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit during lunch just to get some air. It’s a simple setup, nothing special to look at, but we get the work done. The machines are old but they still run fine if you treat them right, and we've learned their quirks over the years.
