Sun City Taxi

Sun City Taxi has its main office on the first floor of building number 2573 in Sahakara Nagar. We are situated very close to the Cauvery English School, so during the mornings and afternoons, the road gets quite busy with buses and parents dropping off their kids. Our office is just up a flight of stairs. It is a functional space where the dispatchers sit and the drivers come in to settle their accounts or take a break between trips. The walls are mostly bare except for some calendars and a few maps of the city that are starting to yellow at the edges. There is always the sound of mobile phones ringing or the crackle of the radio as we coordinate where the cars need to go. We have a small seating area for visitors, but it is mostly just a place for the staff to work. The building is a bit older, so the windows sometimes rattle when a heavy truck goes by. We don't have a fleet of shiny new cars, but the vehicles we use are kept running and they get people where they need to go. Sahakara Nagar is a good area to be based in because it is well connected. We spend our days staring at screens and talking to drivers who are stuck in traffic. It is a busy, somewhat chaotic environment, but that is just the nature of the taxi business in this city.
