Our printing shop, Sumangal Press, is tucked away at G-8 on Cross Road 'A'. We’re pretty close to the Marol Bus Depot in the M.I.D.C. area of Andheri East. You can usually hear the sound of the printing presses before you even walk through the door. It’s a bit of a noisy environment, but we’ve gotten used to it. We handle all sorts of paper jobs—flyers, booklets, whatever people bring in. The air smells like ink and paper dust most of the time. We aren't a big agency with designers in suits. We’re the people who actually run the machines and pack the boxes. Some of the equipment is older but it still works fine if you treat it right. We get a lot of walk-ins from the other businesses in M.I.D.C. because we’re right here. There’s always a stack of scrap paper somewhere and a half-finished job on the table. We don't promise miracles, just that we’ll get the printing done by the time we said we would. Andheri is a hectic place, and our shop is just one small part of that energy. We just keep our heads down and watch the paper feed through. It’s a busy life but it’s what we do. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most important thing we own after the presses. We take it one job at a time and try not to get overwhelmed by the stack of work on the floor.
