Suman Fancy Stores is right here on Colaba Cause Way in Sultanpalya. It’s a lively spot to be, though it gets quite noisy with all the people and vehicles passing through all day. We’ve set up the shop to hold as much as we can on the shelves, which means things are sometimes a bit crowded. It’s a local place where we mostly see the same people from the neighborhood every week. We spend a lot of our time just restocking the small bits and pieces that people need for their homes or for gifts. Sometimes the inventory gets a little messy when it’s busy, but we try to keep on top of it when things quiet down in the afternoon. Being in Sultanpalya means there is always something going on outside our door. The street is narrow and the storefront is simple, nothing too flashy to look at. We start our day by sweeping the front and getting the lights on. Most of what we do is just chatting with customers and finding what they’re looking for among the stacks. It’s been our routine for a long time now. We don't really do much advertising, word of mouth around the local area seems to work fine for us.
