Sri Vinayaka Ice N Juice

We are located at 587 on the 10th Cross in Jayanagar West. It’s a good little corner for a shop like ours. Sri Vinayaka Ice N Juice is basically a place where we spend our whole day around fruit and ice. The sound of the blender is something we hear from the moment we open until we close the shutters at night. We have crates of oranges, watermelons, and whatever else is in season stacked up near the back. The fruit guy comes around ten in a small truck packed with crates. Our counters usually have a bit of a sticky feel because we are constantly squeezing and pouring drinks. It’s a small space, so we mostly serve people who stand on the sidewalk or sit on their scooters while they have their juice. We don’t have a lot of seating, just a few stools if you’re lucky. The morning starts with us cleaning the machines and getting the ice blocks delivered. We spend a lot of time washing fruit and cutting them into pieces. When it’s really hot outside, we can barely keep up with the demand. It gets pretty hectic, and we might forget to smile sometimes when the line is long, but we’re working as fast as we can. It’s just a regular neighborhood spot. We see the same people every afternoon, usually after they finish work. It’s a simple life behind the counter.
