Sri Varalakshmi Traders

We are located at number 70 in Yeshwantpur. If you know the area, you know it is always humming with activity. We have a lot of stuff coming in and out of our doors every single day. It is mostly a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of what is in the bags and boxes. The floor is concrete and cold. We don't have any air conditioning, just the big doors that stay open. Sometimes a stray dog wanders in looking for shade. We don't mind. We are just traders doing our bit. It is not a clean job. Your hands get dirty and your clothes get dusty. We have a small table in the corner where we keep the ledger. It is old and the edges are curled up. We don't use much technology here, just our eyes and our hands. The noise from the trucks on the main road is constant. You have to shout sometimes just to be heard over the engines. We start early, before the sun is even fully up. That is when the best work gets done. By the afternoon, we are usually just waiting for the last few pickups. We are just a basic part of the Yeshwantpur market scene. No frills, no fancy talk, just number 70 and the work we do. You won't find us in any magazines. We are just here on the ground in Yeshwantpur, making sure the goods get to where they need to go. It is exhausting work, but it is honest.
