It’s been a while since we set up here in Jayanagar. The shelves are usually full of wooden pieces and some brass stuff we get from different places. It gets a bit crowded in here when new stock arrives and we have to find space for everything. Sometimes people just walk in to look around while they're out for a walk in the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time just dusting things off because the street gets quite a bit of dust. It is located at 281 Jayanagar, so we are right in the middle of things. The morning starts with opening the heavy shutters. Usually, there's some tea involved before we start the day. We have these small statues and wall hangings that take up a lot of room. It’s not a big fancy place. Just a regular shop where we keep busy with the inventory. Some days are slow, while on others we have people asking about very specific wood carvings they want for their homes. We try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way for long. The floor needs sweeping a lot because of the wood shavings or just the city grime. It’s a simple spot. We've known the neighbors for a long time now. Mostly we just sit here and wait for someone who appreciates the handiwork. If you find yourself on this side of Jayanagar, you’ll see the sign. It’s been there for years and we don't change much. Just the same old routine every single day, making sure the crafts are displayed okay on the wooden shelves. It is a lot of work keeping everything clean.
