Sri Ramesh Engineering Works

Sri Ramesh Engineering Works is located right by the Jakhadevi Bus Stop on Gokhale Road. If you are in Srirampuram, you've probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We are at 35/U. The shop is filled with various lathes and drilling machines. It's quite a busy spot because of the traffic outside. We do a lot of small-scale engineering jobs for local folks and some bigger parts too when they come in. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped with all the raw materials stacked up against the back wall, but we manage. My hands are usually covered in oil by ten in the morning. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. People just find us through word of mouth or because they see the shop from the bus window. The noise from the machines can be a lot, especially in the afternoons. We've been at this same location for quite some time. It's a straightforward setup. We take the measurements, cut the metal, and finish the piece. No big corporate meetings here, just us and the machines. Sometimes the tea break is the best part of the day. If you need something worked on, you can just walk in. We're right there near the stop. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we enjoy the hands-on nature of it. Most days we are just busy with the lathes and the metal scraps left over from the morning work.
