Our office is at 774 Kumaraswamy Layout in Vadgaon Budruk. It’s basically just a small room where we keep the logs and the keys. Most of the time, we aren't even sitting inside because we’re out on the road or checking the cars. Running a cab business is mostly about keeping the engines running and making sure the drivers show up on time. We’ve got a few guys who have been with us for years. They know the shortcuts around the city better than any map. Some days are slow, and we just sit around drinking tea and waiting for the phone to ring. Other days, like when there’s a big wedding or a festival, it’s a total mess and everyone is rushing. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big call center. It’s just us and our phones. The cars get dusty fast around here, so there’s always someone with a cloth wiping down a windshield. We try to keep things simple. If a car needs a repair, it goes to the local mechanic down the street. We’ve lived in this layout for a long time, so people know where to find us if they need a ride to the station or the airport. It’s a lot of driving and a lot of talking to people. We just try to get folks where they need to go without too much fuss.
