Sri Ganapathi Tours & Travels is located down in Madivala at the Gudden Seth Chawl. It’s a very busy area, always crowded with people and buses. Our little office is right in the middle of all that chaos. We started out small and we’re still pretty much a local operation. We spend our days arranging trips, whether it’s a quick hop across the city or a longer journey to a nearby town. The cars stay parked nearby when they aren’t out on a job. It’s a lot of work keeping everything running smoothly. We have to deal with engine trouble, drivers who get lost, and customers who change their minds at the last minute. We don't have any polished marketing slogans or a fancy lobby. People just come in, sit on the plastic chairs, and tell us where they need to go. We write it down in a big ledger and figure out which driver is free. It’s a simple system, but it works for the people in this neighborhood. Madivala is the kind of place where everyone is in a hurry, so we try to get things sorted as fast as we can. We’ve been here for years, and most of our regular customers are people who live right on the same street or in the nearby chawls. We just focus on keeping the cars clean and getting people there on time.
