Sri City Taxi

Our base is in Srinivasnagar, specifically over on the 1st Cross in SVS Nagar. It is a bit of a quiet residential spot compared to the big main roads, but that is where we keep everything running. We have drivers who come in and out all day long. Some of them live just a few streets away from the office. We started with just a couple of cars and have stayed around this same neighborhood for a long time. People around 3rd Main usually know where to find us if they cannot get through on the phone for some reason. The morning rush is always the busiest time, with everyone trying to get to the office or the airport at the exact same time. We spend a lot of time cleaning out the cabs and checking the tires for wear. It is not glamorous work, just making sure the cars are running okay and the drivers know where they are going. We do not have a big corporate setup with managers. It is just a simple room with some chairs and a logbook on the table. We talk about the traffic, the new flyovers, and which roads are being dug up this week. Sometimes a customer forgets something in the back seat, and we have to track them down to give it back. It is a simple life of driving and waiting for the phone.
