Sree Lakshmi Venkateshwara Industries is tucked away in the Singasandra Industrial Area. If you know Hosur Road, you know the traffic is a nightmare most days. We’ve been at 35/2 on 6th Main for a while now. The shop floor is usually loud because the machines are always running. It’s not fancy here. There are grease marks on the walls and the desks are cluttered with old invoices and metal scraps. We mostly just focus on getting the orders out on time. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which is annoying. My uncle started this place years ago and it hasn't changed much since then. We have a small crew. Most of the guys have been with us for a decade. They know the machines better than I do. We keep a stash of tea in the back room for when things get slow. It’s a lot of manual labor and standing on your feet all day. People stop by looking for specific parts or just to see if we can fix something they broke. We do what we can. It gets dusty, especially in the summer when the wind kicks up from the road. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We just want to keep the lights on and keep the machines turning. That's pretty much our life at the factory. It isn't much, but it is what we do.
