Sree Akshayaa Stores

People around Vijaya Nagar probably know us just by the sign on 12th Main Road. Sree Akshayaa Stores has been sitting right here at number 1300 for a good while now. It’s not a huge place, but we try to keep the shelves full of what people actually need on their way home from work. My morning usually starts early, unlocking the heavy shutters and sweeping the dust off the front step before the sun gets too high. You see the same faces every day, neighbors mostly. Some of them have been coming since they were kids, and now they bring their own children along to buy sweets or household bits. It gets a bit cramped in here when more than four people are looking for things at once, but we manage somehow. We don't have a big fancy warehouse or anything like that. Everything we have is right out there on the floor for people to see. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the traffic on the main road, and things get a bit messy behind the counter while we unpack. It's just how a small shop works in this part of town. We don't have a website or any fancy systems for tracking things. I keep the accounts in a thick ledger book mostly. If you walk past the park and keep going down 12th Main, you’ll find us. It’s a simple setup, nothing special, but it keeps us busy.
