Spice Up

Spice Up is located over at Sarjapura 3rd Cross, right on the 4th Main in Sampangiramnagar. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot at 65/1A. We’ve been cooking here for a few years now. The kitchen isn't very big, so things get a bit cramped when we have a full house. We use a lot of local spices we get from the market nearby. Some days the chilies are extra hot and you can smell it out on the street. It makes people sneeze sometimes. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls. Mostly just some tables and chairs that have seen better days. The staff is just a few of us who like making food that tastes like home. We get a lot of office workers during lunch time. They are usually in a hurry, so we try to move fast. Sometimes we run out of certain dishes by 2 PM. If you come late, you might just have to take whatever is left in the pots. We don't mind if people sit for a long time after eating, though. It’s a casual place. We deal with the usual Bangalore traffic right outside our door every evening. It’s noisy but we are used to it by now. Just doing our thing day by day. We keep the doors open as long as there is food in the kitchen.
