Silicon Taxi

We've been running Silicon Taxi for a while now from our spot over at Nagarbhavi 2nd Stage. It’s right near Phoenix Market City, actually at Venugopala Nilaya. People usually call us when they need a ride to the airport or just around the city for errands. It started with just a couple of cars and we've stayed busy ever since. The traffic around here gets pretty bad, especially near the mall, but we know the shortcuts. We don't have a fancy office or anything, just a small place where we manage the bookings. Most of the drivers live nearby so they know the roads well. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook on weekend nights. It’s hard work, driving all day and night, but it keeps the lights on. We try to keep the cars clean, though the dust in this part of town makes it a constant job. If you’re looking for us, look for the sign near the 119 building. We aren't a big app company or anything like that. Just some local guys with cars trying to make a living. Usually, if you book a bit early, it’s easier for us to plan things out. Some days are slow, others we can't keep up. That’s just how the taxi business goes in Bangalore. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We just keep doing our thing day after day.
