Sidhnag Cables

We spend most of our time here at C-49 in the Kssidc Industrial Estate. If you know Kumbalgodu, you know it's a busy spot especially with all the traffic coming off Mysore Road. It gets pretty loud with the machines running and the trucks pulling in to load up. Most days, we’re just making sure the cable reels are stacked right and everything is moving along like it should. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular workshop with some desks and a lot of copper and plastic sitting around. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, which is just how things go around here. We usually have tea around eleven when the heat starts picking up. People stop by to ask for directions quite a bit because the industrial estate can be a bit of a maze. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and most of us live close by. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things from one corner to the other, making sure the orders are ready before the sun goes down. We don't really have a big office or anything, just the floor where the work happens. My desk is tucked in a corner near the main door so I can see who’s coming in. It gets dusty, but that’s just part of the job. We keep busy and try to stay on top of the list of things to do every morning.
