We are over at 1239 in Golden Colony, which is in the Padi area. It is a bit of an industrial neighborhood, so there are always trucks moving around and the sound of machinery in the distance. The office is a simple one, nothing too flashy. We focus on the technical side of things here, so you will see a lot of tools and components scattered on the workbenches. It is the kind of place where we get our hands dirty. The fans stay on all day to keep the air moving because it can get quite warm in Chennai. We have been in this building for several years and we know all the other shop owners on the block. Most of our day is spent troubleshooting or assembling parts. It is not a place where we wear suits or anything like that; we just wear what is comfortable for the work. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we go for breaks. The street can be quite dusty, but that is just part of being in Padi. We keep a regular schedule, starting early to beat the worst of the heat. Sometimes customers come by with parts that need fixing, and we spend time looking them over right there at the front desk. It is a very practical environment. We just focus on getting the jobs finished so the clients can get their equipment back. We like the routine of the colony.
