Shree Jee Udyog

The address is 1/2 1St Main in Byatarayana Pura, near Avala Halli. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t used to the area. This part of Byatayanapura is very industrial and busy. We run a small udyog here, which basically means we are always working with machines and tools. The space is mostly filled with equipment and raw materials. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a polished lobby. Instead, you’ll find oil on the floors and the smell of metal in the air. We’ve got a small crew of guys who have been with us for years. We start early in the morning when it’s still cool. By noon, the shed gets quite hot, but we just keep pushing through the work. The road outside is often dusty because of all the construction and the big trucks passing through. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just life in this part of town. We handle our own deliveries and keep our own books. It is a very hands-on kind of business. Nothing is automated or fancy. If something breaks, we usually fix it ourselves. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local workshop. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the orders out on time and making sure the machines keep running. We just take things as they come and try to finish the work before sunset.
