Seven Beans Coffee Company

You can find us at 31/18 Loyola Layout Main Road. We’re in Ward 111, over in Shanthala Town. It’s a decent neighborhood, a bit quieter than the main commercial hubs of Bangalore. We started Seven Beans Coffee because we really liked the process of roasting. Our space here isn't huge, but it's enough for the roasters and the bagging area. The smell of coffee is everywhere, which is one of the perks of the job. We spend a lot of time staring at bean colors and listening to the cracks in the roasting drum. It’s a bit of a messy job sometimes with the chaff flying around. We have a small crew. We usually start early in the morning before the traffic on the main road gets too bad. We don't have a big storefront or anything. It's more of a production space. We talk about coffee a lot, maybe too much. We try out different beans from various estates and see how they turn out. The weather in Bangalore is usually good for roasting, not too humid most of the time. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make coffee that tastes like we expect it to. It’s a lot of trial and error. We handle the orders as they come in and try to stay on top of things. It’s just our daily routine. The neighbors are mostly quiet, except for the occasional delivery truck stopping by.
