Service Engineer

This is C. Ismail's place, working as a service engineer in Nilambur. The house is called Chekath House, located in Kavalamukkatta, Malappuram. It’s a beautiful part of Kerala, very green and usually quite peaceful. I handle various engineering and repair tasks from here. Most of the work involves going out to meet people who have problems with their machinery or systems. It’s a lot of driving around the hilly areas and local villages. I don't have a big corporate setup or a team of secretaries. It’s mostly just me handling the calls and doing the actual labor. My workspace at home is where I keep all the spare parts and the heavier tools that I don't carry in the bag. People here in Nilambur tend to know each other, so news travels fast if you do a decent job. I don't bother with fancy slogans or marketing. I just focus on the task at hand. If a machine is acting up, I'll take a look and see if it's worth fixing. Sometimes the rain here makes it hard to get around, especially during the monsoon months, but that’s just life in Malappuram. I try to be as helpful as I can to my neighbors and the local businesses. It's a steady life, fixing things and helping people keep their equipment running for as long as possible. I’ve been at this for years and it’s how I support my family in Kerala.
