Our place is at 60/18, P. V. Iyer Street in Salem. It is a straightforward engineering shop. We have been at this spot for a while, and most people in the area know where P. V. Iyer Street is. The building is nothing special, just a regular storefront with our name, Service Engg, on it. Inside, it is mostly benches and tools. We handle a lot of small-scale engineering tasks. Salem gets really hot in the middle of the year, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. By afternoon, we are usually just finishing up and organizing the shop for the next day. It is a quiet street compared to the main roads, which is nice. We do not have a lot of staff, just a couple of guys who have been doing this for a long time. We know how the machines work and what usually goes wrong with them. We do not use big words or try to impress anyone. If something needs a weld or a new part, we just do it. Often we sit outside for a bit in the evening when the breeze starts. People walk by and say hello. It is a community feel. We are not trying to grow into some huge corporation. We just want to do our daily work and go home. That is the way it has always been here at number 60/18. It is just a local business.
