Senior Fms Engineer

I operate out of the Byrasandra area near Vijayanagar. It’s a busy spot with a lot of local businesses and houses mixed together. My work involves a lot of technical stuff and managing how things run in different buildings. I don't spend all my time in one office. Most days I am out checking on equipment or looking at pipes and electrical panels. When I am at my base in Byrasandra, it is mostly to catch up on paperwork or make some phone calls. The space is pretty simple. I have a desk that’s usually a mess of blueprints, tools, and half-empty water bottles. The walls are mostly bare, except for a calendar that I sometimes forget to flip. There is a small window that looks out onto the street, but there isn't much of a view. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so I know most of the people in the neighborhood. They see me coming and going with my bag of tools. It’s not a corporate setup with a lot of rules. I just handle the maintenance and engineering tasks as they come up. Some days are very long if something breaks down late in the afternoon. I just take things as they come and try to keep everything functioning like it’s supposed to. It’s practical work and it keeps me on my feet most of the time. Every day is different for me.
