We’ve been based at 54 Whitefield Road in Mahadevapura for quite some time now. It’s a busy part of the city and the traffic outside is almost always a mess, but we’re used to it by now. Our work here involves metal and carbon, which is mostly about handling raw materials and making sure the orders get out to the people who need them. The building itself is pretty plain, just a functional space where we get things done. We don't have a fancy lobby or a team of people in suits. Most of the guys here are in work clothes because the carbon tends to get everywhere. It’s a bit of a dusty job, and the machines can be quite loud when everything is running at once. We start our day early, usually around the time the first buses start rolling past. We have a small office area where we keep track of the paperwork, but most of the time is spent on the floor. We aren't interested in making big speeches about what we do. We just supply the parts and materials that keep other things running. Sometimes we have issues with the power or deliveries get delayed because of the narrow streets nearby, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a steady routine. We take our breaks together and talk about the usual stuff like cricket or the family. It's a simple life here at Schunk, just working with metal and carbon day after day without any fuss.
